Janet A. Pitman, CPA, is a partner at ABIP, PC, with over 25 years of experience in public accounting. Her experience includes providing audit, review, compilation and agreed-upon procedures to clients in a variety of industries, focusing on local governmental entities and non-profit organizations. She has governmental and non-profit experience which includes audits issued in accordance with the Single Audit Act of 1996, as amended, the Uniform Guidance, and Government Auditing Standards.
Janet’s professional background has been primarily in public accounting. Her primary focus is assurance services for local governments including municipalities, Texas school districts, river authorities, and counties. She is a reviewer for the Government Officers Association Special Review Committee for the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and can help you prepare your Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Janet has experience in national and regional accounting firms, as well as working as accounting manager at the fourth largest county in Texas.

Janet graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, including the San Antonio Chapter, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the GFOA of Texas, and the Texas Association of School Business Officials including the local chapter in San Antonio.
